I had so much fun drawing this turtle with the kids. They had so many questions about the process while others would name the techniques I was using to create the rendering. I'm very impressed and proud of these 6 to 9 year old kids. They remind me of the amazement that I felt when I first saw my uncle draw my toys. I hope they feel the same passion I felt 30 years ago. This is Lonesome George. He is the most recent animal to become extinct. It happened in 2010. He is the center piece for a t-shirt design that I wish to produce. It will be based around endangered species simply to make people think about them. Enjoy! Lonesome George - pencil - 2013
